Maud Arnold
After spending a summer in Brazil communicating through the language of dance, Maud, a native Washingtonian, moved to Los Angeles at 17 with a scholarship from The Debbie Allen Dance Academy to study worldwide dance forms with master teachers. Excelling rapidly, she soon became an official substitute teacher for both African and Tap classes. In 2004 she was invited to teach during the 2nd Annual L.A. TapFest, and will be featured again as a faculty member for L.A.TapFest'05. A rising Senior studying film at Columbia University, Maud is pioneering new Tap experiences for the New York tap community. Currently she co-hosts a Tap Jam every Tuesday night at Fazil's Dance Studio in Manhattan. A powerful tap dancer with a feminine touch, Maud also leaves a lasting impression as a leader and outspoken advocate for cultural exchange. She is also a member of Jared Grimes' "Broadway Underground" Tap Crew TADAH
